MinisForum preparing a powerful MiniPC
The company is set to launch a tiny personal computer equipped with an AMD B550 motherboard and either Ryzen 5000G or Ryzen 5000X CPU.
The device which has not yet been named will use liquid metal to cool down the processor. The company does not confirm which CPU will be used in the device by default but lists Ryzen 5 5600G (6-core), Ryzen 7 5700G (8-core), Ryzen 5 5600X (6-core), and Ryzen 9 5900X (12-core) as possible options.
As noted by the manufacturer, because the Ryzen 5000X series do not have integrated graphics, the device will come with a dedicated GPU, however, the company has not yet named the GPU that will be used. Considering a relatively large power consumption estimated from 120W to 1000W the options are limitless. The company is likely to use a mobile form factor GPU which ranges from 35 to 150W.
We are awaiting more details on the device, including its specifications, release date, and price.
Press Release
MinisForum’s New Mini PC with Dedicated Graphics Card
Mini PC manufacturer MinisForum recently announced that they will launch a new mini PC that is based on AMD B550 chipset soon. According to MinisForum, this mini PC will support the latest Ryzen 5000 series APU including 5600G and 5700G and Ryzen CPU like 5600X and 5900X. Since 5600X and 5900X don’t support graphics output, this mini PC will be equipped with a dedicated graphics card. But MinisForum hasn’t release much information about how they put a dedicated graphics card on this mini PC yet.
What is clear is that this mini PC will use gallium nitride adapter for charging. The package will include a 120w gallium nitride adapter. In addition, the mini PC will also support ATX(SFX) power supply 12V only. With AMD B550 chipset, this mini PC will support PCIe 4.0 SSD. This mini PC will also use liquid metal for cooling, just like their previous products HX90 and HM90. The whole system will consume roughly from 120W to 1000W.
