NVIDIA launches GeForce RTX 2060 with 12GB and TU106-300 GPU, overpriced gaming GPU for miners
Multiple NVIDIA board partners unveiled its GeForce RTX 2060 12GB graphic cards.
The seemingly highly anticipated cure for the mid-range GPU market has been turned into a complete disaster. Despite the official launch today, it is very hard to find the new card in stock and even if there are any offers, the pricing starts at 600 EUR, but it can easily go up to 700 EUR.

The card is equipped with a TU106-300 graphics processor featuring 2176 CUDA cores. It makes use of 16Gb (2GB) GDDR6 modules clocked at 14Gbps. This Turing card is exactly what we expected it to be, an RTX 2060 SUPER variant with lower memory bandwidth.
Interestingly, NVIDIA did not encourage board partners to seed the review samples to the press. Yet, Hongkongese PCMarket managed to obtain ZOTAC RTX 2060 12GB Twin Edge, clearly labeled as a sample. Their review brings some interesting results, but gaming aside, this card is actually better in crypto mining than RTX 3060, which pretty much kills this card the moment it launches.

With all that in mind, the RTX 2060 12GB launch is definitely one of the most depressing GPU launches in recent months. NVIDIA did not even make a single blog post about this new card, nor they have publicly confirmed the MSRP for it.
