NVIDIA RTX 3050 now has an announcement date

We now have a confirmation on the previous rumor featuring NVIDIA’s latest mid-range GPU.

Just as revealed by a leaker “hongxing2020”, NVIDIA is indeed launching its RTX 3050 graphics card next month. We reached out to our sources who corroborated that NVIDIA RTX 30 launches on January 27th , which is an on-shelf date . Additionally, we have learned that NVIDIA intends to announce its first XX50 series GPU on January 4th , possibly during its CES 2022 Executive Keynote.

NVIDIA has been extensively shuffling RTX 3050 release dates which have made the confirmation process a bit more complex to say the least, however, we believe that this might indeed be the final launch date for this card.

GeForce RTX 3050 non-Ti is rumored to feature GA106-150 GPU with an unknown number of CUDA cores. It is believed that it might have 3072 CUDA cores, a count is not possible with GA107 which tops at 2560. Such a configuration is used by RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU. The RTX 3050 is also said to be equipped with 8GB GDDR6 memory. This information is actually listed in the embargo documents that gained access to, which means the memory size is pretty much confirmed at this point.

The RTX 3050 is set to compete in the entry-level segment against Radeon RX 6500XT and Intel Arc A380, both cards, however, are to feature smaller memory capacity than RTX 3050.
