MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X to launch on January 27th, a leaked document confirms

MSI preparing GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X

Our readers often hear about NDAs and embargoes, but rarely do they get an opportunity to see such a document. A source that wishes to remain anonymous has provided us with the NDA documents for the upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card from MSI.

The document is pretty standard compared to the NDAs that we have seen in the past. The Non-Disclosure Agreement outlines what the signatory can and what it cannot do before a certain date. In this case, the date is January 27th, which is the official embargo lift date for GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X 24GB graphics card. We have already reached out to other sources who confirmed that the document is genuine.

This file not only confirms the launch date, but also the memory configuration of the new model. This is something that the recent ASUS RTX3090Ti TUF leak had failed to do.

This is not the first embargo leak for the upcoming RTX 3090 Ti graphics card though. We have already posted a screenshot from AIB embargo documents. At that time only the ‘on-shelf’ date was confirmed, with the announcement and review embargoes still uncertain.

However, since reviewers’ embargo date appears to be the same as the launch date, one could assume that reviews will go live at the same time as sales, which is January 27th. The card is now expected to be announced at CES 2022 during the NVIDIA press conference planned for January 4th.

The RTX 3090 Ti is the new flagship SKU featuring 24GB (through 16Gb modules) GDDR6X memory clocked at 21 Gbps. This is actually the first card to feature such a fast ‘standard’ memory, breaking the 1 TB/s bandwidth barrier for the first time in the GeForce series. The new model is also to feature a full GA102 GPU with 10752 CUDA cores. It is rumored to have a TDP going all the way up to 450W, which is 100W higher than the existing 3090 SKU.
