AMD Rembrandt boosts up to 5.0 GHz
Wccftech reveals the specifications of the AMD Ryzen 6000 mobile CPUs.
The specifications of the upcoming AMD Ryzen 6000 series have just been ‘partially’ revealed by Wccftech. The website only lists three of the upcoming 6nm Zen3+ processors which are all to offer 8-core and 16-threads. There is currently no information on 6-core parts.
According to the post, the flagship Ryzen 9 6980HX APU is to boost up to 5.0 GHz, which is actually the first AMD Zen processor to do so. The HX obviously means that the target power will go beyond 45W, but efficiency should remain good even at 45W because it is still the most pre-binned chip in the upcoming lineup.
A Ryzen 9 6900HX APU is to feature just a 100 MHz lower boost clock (4.9 GHz), according to the leaked specs. This chip would also feature 8 cores and 16 threads. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation on the integrated GPU, but previous leaks suggested that it should feature Radeon 680M GPU based on RDNA2 architecture.
The third part, listed as Ryzen 7 6800H would offer a boost clock up to 4.7 GHz, which actually faster than Ryzen 9 5900HX APU based on Cezanne architecture.
All three parts will be part of the AMD CES 2022 launch on January 4th. ASUS, Dell, and HP are among the first brands to adopt the new Rembrandt APUs.
