Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti is reportedly launching on March 29th
According to new reports from Chiphell , Nvidia plans to launch their planned RT 3090 Ti graphics card in March 29th, delivering to gamers the full power of the company's GA102 silicon with powerful 21Gbps GDDR6X memory chips.
Nvidia previously announced that they would be updating us on their RTX 3090 Ti in January following their CES reveal. This deadline passed over a month ago, and various reports have emerged claiming that Nvidia has faced design issues and BIOS issues with their planned RTX 3090 Ti products.
New reports on Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti on Chiphell claim that Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti issues are memory related, as Nvidia has allegedly faced memory stability issues in some workloads. This prevented Nvidia from launching their RTX 3090 Ti graphics card in January.
Another rumoured graphics card from Nvidia is their 16GB RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, a memory doubled RTX 3070 Ti that offers gamers more VRAM capacity. This graphics card was Nvidia's alleged answer to Intel's ARC Alchemist flagship, which is also due to ship with a 16GB frame buffer. Nvidia has reportedly cancelled this graphics card, though the reason behind this alleged cancellation is unknown.
It is likely that the poor reception of Nvidia's RTX 3080 12GB is responsible for the company's RTX 3070 Ti 16GB reported cancellation. Nvidia doesn't need any more bad press, and most consumers simply want Nvidia to release larger volumes of graphics cards to retailers. To put things bluntly, most PC gamers are sick of seeing new GPU SKUs when Nvidia's older models still aren't widely available.
