It looks like AMD's prepping RX 6000 series GPUs with faster VRAM and boosted performance
2022 is going to be an interesting year for the GPU market. Intel's making its debut within the discrete gaming segment with its ARC Alchemist series graphics cards, Nvidia's enhancing its high-end RTX 30 series lineup with their RTX 3090 Ti, and AMD's reportedly working on new RX 6X50 series GPU models.
While both AMD and Nvidia are expected to launch next-generation graphics cards by the end of 2022, that doesn't mean that either company plans to limit the production of their existing SKUs or allow their rivals to gain market share uncontested. Simply put, there is huge demand for new graphics cards, and both AMD and Nvidia intend to sell as many GPUs as possible.
According to the Chiphell user Enthusiastic Citizen , AMD's working on new Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs. These GPUs will continue to use AMD's RDNA 2 graphics architecture, and will reportedly launch on April 20th and 21st.
Radeon RX 6X50 Series
AMD's reportedly working on four new graphics cards, three of which will be part of the RX 6X50 series. These graphics cards at the RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, and RX 6650 XT. These three graphics cards are enhanced versions of their RX 6900 XT, RX 6700 XT and RX 6600 XT, using fully enabled versions of AMD's Navi 21, Navi 22,a and Navi 33 silicon.
All three of these new GPUs will reportedly use 18Gbps GDDR6 memory chips, giving these new GPU models a notable memory bandwidth boost over their predecessors. Most of AMD's current GPU lineup uses 16Gbps GDDR6 memory chips. These upgraded memory chips will give AMD's new RX 6X50 offerings a 12.5% increase in memory bandwidth over their predecessors.
In addition to AMD's memory upgrades, AMD's RX 6X50 XT GPU models will reportedly feature slightly improved performance, hinting at moderate GPU core clock speed increases for AMD's new RX 6X50 series models.
A new Budget Radeon
AMD's also reportedly working on a graphics card called the RX 6400, a budget-oriented graphics card that will target the sub-£200 GPU market. This GPU will sit below AMD's RX 6500 XT, giving PC builders another low cost GPU option. This GPU will offer gamers less performance than the company's RX 6500 XT, and we expect pricing to be below £150 in the UK.

g0ggles1994I know that's not entirely AMD's fault, it's much more complicated. I'm just so sick of seeing GPUs wildly above MSRP. Quote

Dicehunter| We have refreshes every GPU generation I'm not sure why you're surprised? |
Not surprised in the least, Hence the slow clap gif
