Introduction

Whilst the pandemic might be somewhat behind us, or at the very least the worst of it seems to be (as well as the communal aspects, sadly) the world of manufacturing and shipping is still taking its time in returning to pre-2020 levels. What this means in the real world is that the old supply and demand is keeping prices high and shelves empty.

The most recent RTX card launched by Nvidia is the RTX 3050, a card designed squarely at the people who run 1080P displays and want to be able to play the latest games with all the settings on for maximum graphical fidelity, at 60 FPS average or above. The price of these reflects their placement in the market but, fortunately, manufacturers and retailers aren't taking the opportunity to gouge the paying public.

Today's review is the ASUS take upon the RTX 3050, with a dual fan cooler and a mild factory overclock. Expected to be about as close to the MSRP as its possible to be, it certainly is an attractive proposition on paper for those of you who want to game on a budget. There is, as always, one way to find out. Let's take a look and then pull up some benchmarks.
