Cities Skylines is free this week on the Epic Games Store

For the next week, PC gamers will be able to grab a free copy of Cities Skylines, the city builder from Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive. As it stands, Cities Skylines is the best modern city builder on PC, especially once you add a few of the game's better expansions into the mix.

On the Epic Games Store, PC gamers will be able to redeem their free copy of Cities Skylines until March 17th at 3 PM (GMT). Sadly, Cities Skylines' Epic Games Store version is more challenging to mod than the game's Steam version, as the Epic Games Store version of Cities Skylines is does not have Valve's Steam Workshop integrated. While there are workarounds to enable Steam Workshop content, owners of Cities Skylines on Steam have a much easier modding experience.

On the Epic Games Store, many of Cities Skylines' expansions are currently available at reduced prices, with the game's recently released Airports expansion being the only DLC pack that currently lacks a 50% discount on the Epic Games Store.
