Razer headset deflects bullet away from user

Last Wednesday, a gamer from Torrance California had their life saved by their Razer Kraken gaming headset, which deflected a bullet away from their head. The shot was fired at 10:30 am, went through the game's window, hit the users headset and then bounced off a wall and onto their bed. The headset was damaged, but the user's only injury was a headache.

On the Razer subreddit, the gamer Enough_Dance_956 posted the following, wishing to thank Razer for saving their life.

Hello to everyone who sees this. I'm trying to get a hold of someone at Razer to thank them with all my heart. Wednesday morning at 10:30 am a stray bullet went through my window and hit the Razer headphones on top of my head. If it wasn't for the headphones made with good quality I would've been a dead kid at the age of 18. I couldn't even imagine all the pain my family and friends would've been through.

Many Reddit users had assumed that Enough_Dance_956's post was an April Fools joke, prompting the user to post the following images as further evidence of the event. Had the use's head been an inch further forward or an inch further back, the bullet would have struck their head and not their Razer headset.

After the event occurred, Enough_Dance_956 reported the incident to the Police, who reportedly removed the bullet as evidence. The bullet was a 9mm round, and it is currently unknown where the bullet was fired. The bullet is believed to be a stray round, not a bullet that was intended to kill Enough_Dance_956.

Various sources have confirmed that Razer has reached out to Enough_Dance_956 and that they plan to replace their Kracken headset and give the user other Razer goodies.
