Gotham Knights' PS4 and Xbox One versions have been ditched

Gotham Knights is now a current-gen exclusive

Warner Bros. Games and DC have confirmed that Gotham Knights will now be a current-gen exclusive. As of now, the game will only be launching on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation5. Gotham Knights' PS4 and Xbox One versions have officially been cancelled.

Right now, the exact reason behind this change is unknown, though it is probable that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were struggling the run the new co-op hero game. Now, Warner Brothers Montreal can now focus exclusively on current-generation platforms, allowing the developer to provide gamers with "the best gameplay experience."

Gotham Knights is now due to release on PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 25th, 2022. Alongside this release date announcement, a new Gotham Knights gameplay demo has been released which showcases Nightwing and Red Hood gameplay.

Gotham Knights is scheduled to launch worldwide on Oct. 25, 2022. Please note, to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.
