FSR 2.0 is now available in its second PC game
With patch 1.5, Farming Simulator 22 has now recieved support for AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.0 technology, AMD's second generation game upscaling solution. Two weeks ago, FSR 2.0 arrived in Deathloop, and now, FSR 2.0 has found its second game.
FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 is a temporal upscaling solution from AMD that acts as both an upscaling solution and an anti-aliasing solution for modern games. Using temporal data and motion vectors, FSR 2.0 can upscale lower resolution inputs to create higher resolution outputs, effectively increasing the performance of games by allowing lower resolution data to be used to reconstruct higher resolution images with surprisingly accurate results. In some cases, upscaling solutions can deliver clearer final images than natively rendered images, giving gamers higher framerates and higher levels of image quality.

Now that FSR 2.0 has been added to Farming Simulator 22, PC gamers can now target higher framerates within the game by using AMD's FSR 2.0 upscaling technology. This is great news for gamers who are playing Farming Simulator on older gaming PCs, or those who want to play the game at higher resolutions. FSR 2.0 effectively lowers the system requirements of high resolution gaming, making high resolutions like 1440p and 4K more accessible by gamers.
In the near future, AMD plans to make FSR 2.0 an open source technology. That said, the technology is only currently available to AMD's development partners. Even so, we should expect to see FSR 2.0 integrated into more PC games in the near future.
