High resolution or high refresh rate? Why not both? The AGON PRO AG274QS delivers a 1440p resolution at 300Hz
AOC has today revealed their AG274QS display, a new AGON Pro gaming monitor that offers users a 27-inch IPS screen, a resolution of 2650x1440 and a 300Hz maximum refresh rate. With both FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility, this screen is designed for high-end gamers who want a blend of ultra high refresh rates and high gaming resolutions.
AOC is aiming this new gaming displays at "esports players and enthusiasts", aiming specifically at FPS players and battle royale fans. That said, this high resolution and high refresh rate gaming display would be well suited for all competitive games/gamers.
The AGON Pro AG274QS sports a 1440p "fast IPS" panel, boasting a 1ms grey-to-grey response time (0.5ms MPRT), and 178/178 degree viewing angles. The screen sports a FreeSync premium pro certification, and also carries a DisplayHDR 600 certification. This display can support HDR content at 300Hz, with 10-bit colour depth and a peak brightness of 600 nits.
Like other high-end AGON gaming monitors, the AGON Pro AG274QS has a thin bezel on three sides, RGB (Light FX) lighting on the rear of the screen, and a highly adjustable stand with height, tilt, and swivel options. The screen also has four USB 3.2 ports, 2 5w integrated speakers, an integrated headset holder, three display input options. The AGON Pro AG274QS supports DisplayPort 1.4 on a single input, and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.
AOC has confirmed that their AGON PRO AG274QS will be available from June 2022 at a MSRP of £929.99.
