AMD Ryzen 8000 series by 2024
At AMD Financial Analyst Day 2022 the manufacturer of Ryzen processors revealed its roadmap for notebook and desktop series.
The new CPU series for laptops will include 4 nm Phoenix Point as well as Strix Point APU series on ambiguously described ‘advanced node’. This is the first time AMD mentioned Strix Point in official communication. The newly released roadmap lists all products to be released between 2021 and 2024 shows the transition from Vega graphics architecture to RDNA, now seemingly to be updated for each generation.

AMD Phoenix Point is to feature Zen4 x86 CPU architecture combined with RDNA3 graphics and AIE (Artificial Intelligence Engine) most likely based on IP from acquired Xilinx. Phoenix is officially part of Ryzen 7000 series, and it will launch alongside the enthusiast APU series codenamed Dragon Range, which for reasons unknown, is not listed on this roadmap.
Furthermore, AMD revealed the codename of its Ryzen 8000 APU series. AMD Strix Point will not only feature Zen5 CPU architecture but also updated RDNA3+, which is the first time AMD mentioned a refresh of its RDNA graphics. It is unclear if this means that RDNA3+ will also make its way to desktop Radeon series. Strix Point has been rumored to be AMD’s first hybrid APU architecture featuring Zen5 and Zen4 cores (most likely Zen4c). This unfortunately was not confirmed by AMD.
Ryzen 8000 for desktops: Granite Ridge
Furthermore, AMD also confirmed Granite Ridge based on Zen5 architecture for desktops. This architecture has been rumored for a long time, with first leaks dated as far back as May last year. AMD is not confirming the node used by this architecture, but judging from the leaks, it could be TSMC N3 technology.
AMD confirmed Zen4-based Threadripper 7000 HEDT CPUs are coming, but there are no official plans for Threadripper 8000 series yet. There is no confirmation of Zen5 with 3D V-Cache coming to desktops either, but AMD did reveal that such architecture exists.

According to AMD roadmaps, all these products should launch by 2024, the company is not providing more accurate estimates.
