AOC's latest ultrawide AGON monitor is a HDR gaming beast

AOC's latest AGON Gaming monitor targets the premium side of the gaming spectrum, offering users some ultrawide goodness alongside high quality HDR and a high refresh rate.

The AGON PRO AG344UXM is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor that offers users a UWQHD 3440x1440 resolution through an IPS panel with a Mini LED backlight that features 1152 local dimming zones. The screen is DisplayHDR 1000 certified, offers gamers a 170Hz maximum refresh rate, and fast 1ms GtG response times.

Like all ultrawide monitors, this screen is good for games that benefit from offering players more peripheral vision, such as first-person games, racing/simulation games, and various non-gaming applications. The screen features DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB Type-C connectivity. The screen also features a KWM switch, allowing the monitor's USB hub to be used with multiple PCs.

With its accurate IPS display panel, the AGON PRO AG344UXM promises users viewing angles of 178/178 degrees, 10-bit colour support, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut. This screen is designed to be used by artists, creators, and gamers. This monitor is also G-Sync Compatible and supports AMD FreeSync, delivering VRR capabilities on all compatible PCs.

With a UK price tag of £1,429.99. this monitor sits firmly on the premium side of the display market. The screen is due to become available in July through various retailers.
