Nvidia needs to sell its RTX 30 series stock before launching their RTX 40 series

It looks like Nvidia's about to slash its high-end RTX 30 series prices
According to Benchlife.info , Nvidia's pushing out lowered MSRPs for its high-end RTX 30 series products, hoping that these new price tags will help shift the company's excess RTX 30 series stock.
These rumoured price decreases will impact Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3090, RTX 3080 Ti, and RTX 3080 12GB, all of which are now available with a new game bundle .
Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti has recieved the largest price cut, with a new MSRP that's $500 lower than the GPU's launch price. The RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ti also receive a $200 and $100 discounts respectively. While Nvidia's RTX 3080 12GB never had an official MSRP, its new $799 MSRP is a lot more reasonable than what we saw from retailers at launch.
These new prices are expected to move through retailers soon, dropping RTX 30 series prices further. Sadly, RTX 3080 10GB and lower graphics cards still have their original launch day MSRPs. Nvidia's lower-end graphics cards have no MSRP discounts and no game bundle.
Why are Nvidia lowering prices?
Nvidia's RTX 30 series is overstocked, and Nvidia needs to sell these graphics cards before launching their RTX 40 series. If Nvidia fails to sell these excess GPU stocks, it will hamper their RTX 40 series launch and force them to compensate their AIB partners for having to sell last-generation RTX 30 series products at further discounted rates.
We have been hearing form our sources that Nvidia's RTX 30 series overstock problem will likely Nvidia's RTX 40 series launch plans. Too many GPUs are on store shelves and Nvidia will lose a lot of money if they do not sell most of this stock before the RTX 40 series' launch.
In my honest opinion, Nvidia needs to deliver deeper price cuts to encourage more GPU sales. We all know that the RTX 40 series is coming, so we will need to see some excellent RTX 30 series prices to convince most gamers not to wait for next-gen products.
