ADATA's ready to deliver next-gen memory and storage performance

ADATA has ultra fast SSDs and DRAM kits on the horizon
Following on from their January's CES reveals, ADATA has revealed the appearance of one of their upcoming PCIe 5.0 XPG series SSDs, and have revealed a new series of ultra-fast DDR5 memory kits that will launch under the SLAUER DDR5 RGB name.
At CES 2022, ADATA showcased two prototype SSDs that have smashed the sequential read/write performance levels of today's PCIe 4.0 compatible hardware. With their Project Nighthawk SSD, ADATA has utilised a Silicon Motion SM2508 SSD controller to to deliver read and write speeds of 14 GBps and 12 GBps, delivering two times the performance of many of today's PCIe 4.0 SSDs.
ADATA's second SSD prototype, their Project Blackbird SSD, delivers slower speeds of 14 GBps and 10 GBps, utilising an InnoGrit IG5666 SSD controller to do so. Both of these SSDs appear to have been tested using an Intel 12th Generation Alder Lake PC, as Intel is the only CPU manufacturer that has launched PCIe 5.0 compatible CPUs and motherboards.
Today, ADATA has showcased the design of their XPG PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD, which appears to be based on ADATA's Project Nighthawk prototype and offer users sequential read/write speeds of 14 GB/s and 12 GB/s respectively. The drive is also said to offer users random read/write levels of 1800k/1600k IOPS with a maximum capacity of 8TB.
Moving on from SSDs, ADATA has also revealed their XPG SLAYER DDR5 RGB memory modules, which are said to offer users speeds of up to 7,000 MT/s. This is faster than most of today's DDR5 memory modules, though at this time the CAS latencies and other memory timings of these modules are unknown.
Both AMD and Intel plan to release new CPUs and motherboards later this year that support both DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 connectivity. These new products will boost the market's demand for DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 technologies, giving ADATA the perfect opportunity to launch these new high performance products.
