The Last of Us Part 1 should come to PC soon after PS5 - This year maybe?

Naughty Dog's Remake of The Last of Us is coming to PlayStation 5 on September 2nd, bringing with it modernised gameplay, improved visuals, more accessibility options, and a suite of other improvements.

Sony has already confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1 is coming to PC, and that the game's PC version will launch after the game's PlayStation 5 version. Now, a Naughty Dog developer has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1's PC version is due to launch, "a bit later, but very soon after" the game's PlayStation 5 version, which should mean that PC gamers will not need to wait long for the game's inevitable PC release.

This year, Sony already plans to release Spider-Man Remastered, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collections for PC. This year's launch of God of War on PC has already proven to be hugely successful, paving the way to more investment in the PC platform by Sony.

The Last of Us Part I is not a simple remaster. Naughty Dog is rebuilding The Last of Us with current-generation technology and gameplay standards in mind. Naughty Dog wants gamers to experience The Last of Us' story in a new way, offering gamers more than just a simple graphics upgrade.

Other changes that The Last of us Part 1 will benefit include advancements in enemy AI, increased environmental interactivity/destructibility, 3D audio support, and improvements to character movements and animations.
