Today AMD lifts the embargo on 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper reviews. AMD Castle Peak AMD unveils their Threadripper 3000 series alongside new TRX40 motherboards. The Castle Peak series will feature up to 64-cores, as AMD also revealed plans for Threadripper 3990X coming early next year. The two SKUs revealed today: 3970X and 3960X offer 32 and 24 cores respectively. They both feature a maximum boost clock of 4.5 GHz with a base clock from 3.7 to 3.8 GHz.
