Expect PCIe 5.0, DDR5 memory support, and faster I/O

ASUS reveals its AM5 X670E Prime and Creator motherboard lineups
ASUS has revealed a new set of X670E AM5 motherboards, this time highlighting their Creator and Prime series products. With AMD's new AM5 socket, these new motherboards will support AMD's next-generation Ryzen 7000 series processors, which promise users higher core clock speeds, new 5nm Zen 4 cores, and an expanded feature set.
With their new X670E-Creator WIFI motherboard, ASUS is offering their users two PCIe 5.0 16x slots, four M.2 SSD slots (two of which are PCIe 5.0), and a pair of USB4 ports on the motherboard's rear I/O panel. This motherboard also ships with WIFI 6E support, a 2.5Gb ethernet port, a Marvell AQtion 10 Gb Ethernet port, and support for cases with that can support 60-watt USB Type-C charging.
ASUS has also revealed their Prime X670E-Pro WIFI, Prime X670-P WIFI and Prime X670-P motherboards, though at this time we only have a picture of ASUS' Prime X670E-Pro WIFI motherboard. All three of these new motherboards support DDR5 memory, three onboard M.2 slots, and a Thunderbolt 4 header.
ASUS' flagship Prime series motherboard, the Prime X670E-Pro WIFI, features a PCIe 5.0 16x slot, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, support for WIFI 6E, and a 2.5Gb ethernet port. Additionally this motherboard features a pre-mounted I/O shield a PCIe Q-Release button, and an LED diagnostic array (a useful troubleshooting tool).

ASUS Prime motherboard range
At the top of the Prime motherboard range sits the Prime X670E-Pro WiFi. The board inclues DDR5 support, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, support for WiFi 6E, a Realtek 2.5 Gb Ethernet port, and a Thunderbolt 4 header. It includes some DIY-friendly features as well, such as the pre-mounted I/O shield, PCIe Slot Q-Release button and the Q-LED diagnostic array.
Just below the Prime X670E-Pro WiFi sits the Prime X670-P WiFi and Prime X670-P. These boards feature DDR5 support, plus ample room for storage with three onboard M.2 slots. A Thunderbolt 4 header allows users to set up a flexible, high-speed front-panel port in a compatible case. In addition, the Prime X670-P WiFi offers WiFi 6 connectivity.
