Sony's PlayStation 5 consoles are now £30 more expensive in the UK

Sony's PlayStation 5 console has just gotten more expensive
Sony has just announced that they are raising the price of their PlayStation 5 console in most global regions, citing " high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends" as the primary reasons behind these price increases.
In the UK, Sony's PlayStation 5 price increase will raise the value of both their Disk and Diskless PlayStation 5 consoles by £30. Price increases are coming for the PlayStation 5 in Europe, the UK, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada. Gamers in the US will not be seeing a PlayStation 5 price increase within that region.
The global economic environment is a challenge that many of you around the world are no doubt experiencing. We’re seeing high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends, impacting consumers and creating pressure on many industries. Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price (RRP) of PlayStation 5 in select markets across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), as well as Canada. There will be no price increase in the United States.
With a price increase of £30, Sony's PlayStation 5 console has become notably more expensive. That said, Sony's PlayStation 5 remains out of stock at most UK retailers, and it is likely that the system will continue to sell well despite Sony's price increase.
The new RRPs below are effective immediately, with Japan being the only exception.
