The GPU that never was - Meet the RTX 3090 SUPER
It looks like Nvidia once had plans to launch an RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card, an alternative to their RTX 3090 Ti that offered users an all-black heatsink design. An image of an all-black RTX 3090 SUPER graphics card have appeared over on the NGA forums, acting as some of the only evidence that Nvidia ever planned to release RTX 30 SUPER series graphics cards.
Following the success of Nvidia's RTX 20 SUPER series of graphics cards, Nvidia had to decide whether or not they planned to release any RTX 30 series graphics cards under their newly minted SUPER series branding. This time, Nvidia opted to release RTX 30 Ti series graphics cards, launching their RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3080 Ti, and RTX 3090 Ti to refresh their RTX 30 series GPU lineup.
The primary difference between Nvidia's RTX 3090 SUPER design and the RTX 3090 Ti design that they eventually launched is the fact that Nvidia's RTX 3090 SUPER has a black heatsink frame and SUPER series branding. Aside from this change, Nvidia's RTX 3090 SUPER design appears to be the same as Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti.

A leaked GPU-Z screen shot for Nvidia's RTX 3090 SUPER showcased specifications that are the same as Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti, offering users 10752 CUDA cores, and 24GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory. This makes sense given the fact that Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 3090 SUPER graphics cards only differ in terms of branding and heatsink colouration.
