Activision has released a lot of new details about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0

Today, Activision showcased "the future of call of duty", giving gamers a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. Warzone 2.0 is the second iteration of Activision's wildly popular Call of Duty Battle Royale title, which promises players "a fully revamped experience". Furthermore, the game promises to be " the most ambitious release in Call of Duty history."

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is launching on PC and consoles on November 16th, less than three weeks after Modern Warfare 2's release on October 28th. A mobile version of Warzone is also in the works, and it will support up to 120 players battle royale matches. Warzone's mobile version will be mobile-specific, though there will be some form of connection between the mobile and console/PC versions of Warzone. Both games will "share many social features and cross-progressions" and feature a "share battle pass" and more.

Warzone 2.0 takes place in the fictional desert region of Al Mazrah, and will include several twists on the traditional Battle Royale formula. For starters, the game will have multiple circles (which will force players in different directions), an AI faction, fortified strongholds that are guarded by NPCs, and a tweaked gulag system. The game also features some kind of sandbox mode, though not many details of this mode have been revealed yet.

Another interesting addition to Warzone 2.0 is its inclusion of a third person view. This will allow gamers to choose between first person and third person gameplay, each of which will have its advantages and disadvantages. Activision also confirmed that the console version of Warzone 2.0 would also feature an FOV slider.
