Grand Theft Auto 6 code and video leak online long before the game's reveal
It has been officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is now in development, as early footage for the game and over 10,000 lines of code for the game have leaked online. Take-Two and Rockstar Games have quickly worked to bring leaked materials offline, confirming the legitimacy of this leak.
As of now, this is one of the biggest leaks in gaming history, as access to both in-development footage and source code for Grand Theft Auto VI have been shared publically. This is a devastating leak for Rockstar, as it is clear that the studio is not ready to reveal their newest Grand Theft Auto game. Grand Theft Auto VI appears to be in early development, though the leaked footage does showcase a lot of advancements over Grand Theft Auto V.
The leaked footage of Grand Theft Auto VI appear to showcase both a male and female protagonist, seemingly confirming the rumours that the game would feature "Bonnie & Clyde" style protagonists. The in development footage for Grand Theft Auto VI showcase the game running on an GTX 1080 graphics card using DirectX 12, though additional footage has been released showcasing the game running on other graphics cards.
Below is a video showcasing a lot of Grand Theft Auto VI video footage. In time, this video may be removed from YouTube for copyright reasons.
