Forget RGB, your next GPU needs a spirit level
On the Chinese e-tail website AliExpress, a new GPU AIB called 51RISC has revealed a graphics card called the RTX 400 24GB Gamer, graphics card with an industrial aesthetic and a triple-slot heatsinks.
One unique aspect of 51RISC's RTX 4090 Gamer, aside from its overall aesthetic, is its inclusion of a spirit level on the side of the graphics card, a feature that is intended to encourage users to address GPU sagging if it occurs. That said, this graphics card does not ship with a dedicated support bracket, giving users a limited ability to address this issue without a 3rd party GPU support.
Like most RTX 4090 graphics cards, 51RISC's model features 24GB of GDDR6X memory, 16,368 CUDA cores, and is powered using a 12+4 pin 12VHWR connector. The graphics card also features a 450W TDP and features a triple-fan heatsink.
Given this graphics card's 51RISC name and the fact that this graphics card says "MAXIMUS" on its side, it looks like this custom Chinese design wants to mis-identified as an ASUS product. The 51RISC on this GPUs fans look a lot like ASUS' Strix branding, and PC enthusiasts should all know about ASUS' Maximus motherboard lineup.
51RISC's RTX 4090 graphics card features the default clock speeds of Nvidia's RTX 4090 graphics card, which means that this graphics card does not ship with a factory overclock. The graphics card also appears to lack any form of RGB lighting, making this a rather basic RTX 4090 design.
On AliExpress 51RISC's RTX 4090 is currently listed for £2,086.11, which is a price that claims to be at a 30% discount. For UK customers, this pricing makes no sense, especially after considering the fact that this GPU needs to be shipped from China.
Aside from the fact that this graphics card has an almost Master Chief vibe to it, there is little to differentiate this new RTX 4090 design from the GPU models that are currently available in Europe. Unless you want to built a Halo-themed PC and must have this Chinese AIB design, you are better off buying something locally.
