NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti on January 5th
The “unlaunched” GPU gets a new launch date under a new name.
MEGAsizeGPU corroborates on Kopite7kimi claim that NVIDIA has renamed its RTX 4080 12GB graphics card to RTX 4070 Ti. Packaging design featuring this new product name has been shared along with a new release date. Board partners must adhere to this template when making their own boxes.

NVIDIA reportedly wants to launch this card on January 5th, but the card would actually have few ‘launch dates’, including product announcement and review embargo. According to Wccftech , NVIDIA has set the following dates for RTX 4070 Ti launch:
- Product Unveil – 3rd January, 2023
- Product Review – 4th January, 2023
- Product Launch – 5th January, 2023
This means that we are likely to hear more about the card at CES 2023. When it comes to actual product specs, we have only learned that NVIDIA is using the same product board and SKU as RTX 4080 12GB, therefore no major changes to the specs are to be expected.
The RTX 4070 Ti should feature full AD104 GPU with 7680 CUDA cores. This model should also get 12GB of GDDR6X memory across a 160-bit memory bus. If no changes to the power requirements are introduced, then this should still be a 285W card.
What is expected is a change in pricing. Original pricing for RTX 4080 12GB was $899, but this SKU should definitely cost less (RTX 3070 Ti launched at $599 MSRP).
