GeForce RTX 4090 OC at 3.8 GHz
OGS from GALAX OC Lab team has overclocked his RTX 4090 graphics card to 3.825 GHz, the highest GPU clock achieved thus far.

This achievement was only possible thanks to highly customized RTX 4090 HOF graphics card from GALAX and only with a lightweight benchmark such as GPUPI. Furthermore, the extreme overclocker outperformed his previous achievement with 3DMark software, previously reaching as high as 3.5 GHz. This frequency has now been boosted to 3.7 GHz.

Out of the box, overclocked RTX 4090 cards can go as high as 2.9 to 3.0 GHz depending on a workload. However, custom models designed for extreme overclocking can go much higher. The GALAX HOF is a pre-binned model with dual 16-pin power connectors, special Extreme OC BIOS custom power delivery circuity.
New RTX 4090 world records
- GPUPI 3.3 1B, 3.825 GHz

- Fire Strike Ultra, 3.7 GHz
- Fire Strike Extreme, 3.675 GHz
- Port Royal, 3.7 GHz
- 3DMark Vantage Performance, 3.7 GHz
- 3DMark Vantage Extreme, 3.7 GHz
- 3DMark 11 Performance. 3.7 GHz
- Catzilla 1080P, 3.7 GHz

- Catzilla 4K, 3.7 GHz
- Catzilla 576P, 3.7 GHz
- Catzilla 720P, 3.7 GHz
- Superposition 8K, 3.66 GHz
It is very likely that we will see RTX 4090 reaching higher clocks soon. The 4.0 GHz GPU barrier does not appear to be unreachable anymore. however one shouldn’t expect any other brand to compete with the HOF model. There have been no news on MSI Lighting or ASUS ROG Matrix, while EVGA Kingpin will not happen due to the company’s departure from the GPU business.
