Core i9-13900KS confirmed by leaked slides
Intel is set to announce a new desktop CPU very soon.
The 6 GHz clock speed has now been confirmed for Core i9-13900KS processor.

While the company did mention it will have a special SKU featuring a high 6 GHz frequency out of the box, the processor itself has not been named directly. The leaked roadmap that was just shared on Twitter appears to confirm that this CPU is indeed coming.
According to the spec sheet, this CPU will boost up to 6.0 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost technology, up to 5.8 GHz and up to Turbo Boost Max 3.0. This is respectively 200 MHz and 100 MHz higher than existing Core i9-13900K processor. While there are no changes to the Efficient core speeds, the base clock for the Performance cores will also be higher at 3.2 GHz (+200 MHz).

Furthermore, this spec speed also confirms that the TDP has been increased from 125 to 150W (base power), but the turbo power has remained at 253W. The CPU officially supports the same memory speeds as all Raptor Lake-S CPUs. However, enthusiast may want to pair this processor with faster DDR5-7000+ memory, which is only just appearing on the market.
The leaked slide does not confirm it, but Intel Core i9-13900KS should be officially announced at CES 2023 with launch expected within the first quarter.
