EK is the first manufacturer to announce its water blocks for the upcoming Ampere series.
EK-Quantum Vector for RTX 3090/3080
The company has confirmed the water block design for the GA102-based graphics cards from NVIDIA. The blocks are compatible with two SKUs: GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080. Thus, EK inadvertently confirmed that both cards share the same board design.
The new blocks will not fit onto GeForce RTX 3070 boards, as this graphics card is using a different GPU – GA104.
There is also a bit of confusion around the term ‘reference design’. EK has underlined that the reference design does not mean Founders Edition. These cards with irregularly shaped boards are technically custom (they have a different board number) and they are not compatible with the new blocks.
There are two board designs: PG133 (Founders Edition) and PG132 (reference design). The latter will be used by board parters for their semi-custom designs (NVIDIA reference PCB and custom cooling solution).

EK warning:
- This block is made for reference PCB 3080 and 3090 cards. Founders Edition does NOT have a reference PCB.
- Due to an immense variety of fittings/barbs available on the market and no prescribed standards, we guarantee compatibility only for connectors bought from our website.
- Factory backplates are not compatible with this water block!
- Check your toolbox if you are missing this special Hex adapter for some of the screws.
- This product should NOT be installed with any aluminum Fluid Gaming parts!
IceMan
IceMan is preparing a water block, but the final design has not been published yet. The early listing on a website only shows this image:
Bitspower
We approached Bitspower for information about Ampere water blocks and this is what we were told:
We will release the rendering of our block once 3090 card releases.

The RTX 3090 releases on September 24th.
Alphacool
Alphacool published the first photographs of the upcoming RTX 30 water blocks. The Eisblock Aurora is a water block requiring a custom loop, while Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO is a preassembled kit for the new card.
There is no further information at this moment, but the company previously confirmed that the blocks should be ready at launch.
