NVIDIA lists RTX A6000 ADA GPU at $6,800
The fastest RTX workstation card launches a month after it was supposed to.

We have already reported on RTX A6000 ADA pricing a few weeks ago , as it was revealed by some US retailers. However, the card did not actually go on sale until this month. The good news is that it will not cost as much as originally reported, the bad news is that the price is still high.
The RTX A6000 ADA is the successor to RTX A6000 based on Ampere architecture. Confusing naming aside, the new RTX workstation GPU not only has more cores, but also faster memory. The memory is actually the most important feature of this card. It may not be GDDR6X based, but it ships with 48GB of buffer, twice as much as RTX 4090.

NVIDIA RTX A6000 ADA features AD102 GPU with 18176 cores, this is 11% more than GeForce RTX 4090. However, this is not the full silicon, as two Streaming Multiprocessors out of 142 were disabled.
The memory supports error correction (EEC) and it is rated at 20 Gbps. This means that the maximum theoretical bandwidth is 960 GB/s, a 25% increase over last gen A6000 with 16 Gbps modules. The card retains 300W power limit, but it is now also powered by the new PCIe Gen5 16-pin power connector.
NVIDIA RTX A6000 ADA is now listed at $6,800, a 46% increase over last gen mode. This is also 4.25x more than RTX 4090 which might explain why some board partners are working behind closed doors on gaming GPUs with dual-slot blower type designs .
