It looks like Nvidia plans to release its RTX 3060 Ti graphics card this September, with Videocardz reporting that the GPU will utilise the same silicon as the company's RTX 3070.

October is going to be a busy month when it comes to PC hardware, with AMD planning to launch their Ryzen 4000 series of desktop processors at the start of the month and their Radeon RX 6000 series at the end.

So far, we already know that Nvidia plans to release its RTX 3070 graphics card this October, but now it looks like the company also plans to launch another graphics card this October. With these leaked hardware specifications in mind, it seems likely that Nvidia's rumoured RTX 3060 Ti graphics card will offer RTX 2080-2080 Super class performance levels at a sub-$400 price point, delivering excellent value for the mid-range market.

Given the graphics cards use of the same graphics silicon as the RTX 3070, it is likely that the RTX 3060 Ti will offer customers the same PCB and cooler designs as their RTX 3070 series counterparts. Given the RTX 3060 Ti's alleged lower TDP, this should make the RTX 3060 Ti a relatively quiet graphics card in almost all cases, given the fact that it will be paired with RTX 3070 class cooling solutions in most cases.

If Nvidia rushed a late October launch for its RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, one has to wonder if Nvidia is rushing its RTX 3060 Ti release in order to pre-empt AMD's RX 6000 series product launch. Regardless, Nvidia's RTX 3060 Ti will offer customers much better value than today's graphics card offerings.
