China e-commerce startup to open big box store for Japan, other imports

DALIAN, China -- A Chinese e-commerce startup plans to open a warehouse store here in April to sell goods from Japan and other countries, in a bet shoppers will want to a browse physical products rather than buy online.

The company, Dalian Wanzhongyuncang, aims to reach sales of 100 million yuan ($15 million) in 2023, including online sales, general manager Lian Shichao said.
