Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition keeps getting better
Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition has received its 9th major update, adding to the project a fully featured 60 FPS mode to the game alongside a wide range of other enhancements.
While gamers have been able to force Silent Hill 2 to run on PC at 60 FPS for a while now, doing so has never given gamers a great experience. From glitched audio to double-speed animations, Silent Hill 2 has never ran properly at 60 FPS, at least until now. Silent Hill 2's PC version now runs at a smooth 60 FPS without any major issues, and that isn't the only major change that Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition's latest update provides.
The team behind Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition has also improved the game's controller support, added better support for translation packs, restored the game's Japanese language support, and has added a new CRT filter to the game.
For PC gamers, Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition is the best way to replay Silent Hill 2. While the game does have a modern remake in the works, there will always be a place for the original in the hearts of fans, and the efforts of Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition team have done a great job improving the original game while staying true to the game's original look and style.
