Starfield now has a new release date

Bethesda have announced that Starfield, the company's highly anticipated sci-fi RPG, will be released on September 6th, missing the game's planned "first half of 2023" release timeframe. This delay is designed to ensure that gamers "receive the best, most polished" version possible.

Starfield will be launching on PC and Xbox Series X/S, arriving as a full retail game and as part of Xbox/PC Game Pass on day-1. Bethesda has also confirmed that they will be hosting a "Starfield Direct" event on June 11th, where the company plans to showcase the game in depth.

Starfield Direct will start after Microsoft's already confirmed Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft's E3 style event where the company plans to showcase the latest games from Xbox Studios.
