Intel Core i5-13490F gets a 10% price cut in China

Intel Core i5-13490F is now cheaper

Expreview reports that Intel’s China exclusive SKU is getting a double-digit discount.

The Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F are a special edition 13th Gen Core CPUs sold in with some eye-catching black packaging. These processors are now available to Chinese customers, but there is no sign of them being sold elsewhere.

According to the report, the i5-13490F debuted at ¥1599 on February 7th, only to be discounted to ¥1449 one month later. This new price means that 13490F should now cost around $200 from its original $230 price after conversion. It appears that no changes to the Core i7-13790F pricing have been implemented yet. What may also be worth noting is that 13490F now costs just ¥190 more than its predecessor, the i5-12490F with 6 cores.

Both models are 65W SKUs featuring either 16 core or 10 core configurations. The main difference between 13700F/13400F SKUs and their 13X90F variants is the size of the L3 cache, 3MB and 4MB larger for the Chinese models respectively. The difference in cache is a result of using different dies. Instead of the 13400F’s Raptor Lake B0 die, the 13490F uses C0 die from Alder Lake series.
