AMD Ryzen 5000 “Vermeer”
Yuri Bubliy the creator of ClockTuner for Ryzen has suggested on Twitter that AMD would launch its Ryzen 5000 series processors on October 20th. The first wave would feature two high-end CPUs from Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 series. It is worth noting that Yuri is not sure about the date is accurate, although it was previously reported and the plans have likely not changed.
The full lineup featuring four SKUS: 5950X, 5900X, 5800X, and 5700X has been also published by Uniko’s Hardware . Yesterday we reported on the first benchmark result of the 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X CPU.
The 5900X and 5800X processors would therefore launch 12 days after the announcement, which is officially taking place on October 8th. AMD is set to officially introduce Ryzen 5000 series, skipping the 4000 series for desktop processors (that’s not including APUs).
The mid-range part aka Ryzen 5 5600X and flagship (likely to be a 16-core model) Ryzen 9 5950X are likely to launch later.
Zen 3 – 20th October (5800X/5900X)
Navi 2 – 15-20th November
This is old information, but I can see that AMD has not adjusted the plans.— Yuri Bubliy (@1usmus) September 30, 2020
In his tweet, Yuri also mentions Radeon RX 6000 series expected mid-November. This would align with our predictions that AMD would seed samples to reviewers shortly after the announcement on October 28th.
