GeForce RTX 4060 reportedly launching sooner
According to MEGAsizeGPU, a leaker with a great track record on NVIDIA-related content, claims that the company might speed up the launch of GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti GPUs.
Originally, NVIDIA intended to launch RTX 4060 Ti in May and RTX 4060 in the first half of July. Later we learned that there is also a 16GB variant of the Ti SKU planned for the second half of July. For now, nothing has changed regarding the 16GB model, but the non-Ti card is supposedly now coming sooner.
MEGAsizeGPU claims that the on-shelf date for GeForce RTX 4060 has been pushed forward to the end of June. This would mean that the card will launch a week or two faster than what was originally planned. However, one must note that NVIDIA did not confirm the exact release date for RTX 4060, except for mentioning the month.

NVIDIA has many reasons to launch this card sooner, mainly a relatively low interest in the RTX 4060 Ti model. The company has decided to launch the Ti SKU at $399, which was not met with enthusiasm among the GPU community. In Japan, where gamers usually wait in line late into the night to buy new GeForce GPUs, only one person showed up at one of the retailers, which speaks volumes.
Therefore, the company might try to launch its RTX 4060 non-Ti, a $299 graphics card before the price cuts are inevitable. We might have a very different GPU landscape next month, with the price war at its peak and now involving not just AMD but also Intel Arc graphics.
