NVIDIA confirms GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti is launching sooner
The rumors were true, the cheapest RTX 4060 will not be released in July, but already this month.
Those waiting to upgrade their systems with 8GB GeForce RTX 4060 graphics should now mark their calendar for June 29th. This is officially the new release date for this entry-level graphics card. NVIDIA has therefore changed the release date from what was initially communicated as July.
The RTX 4060 graphics card features the smallest Ada Lovelace GPU called AD107-400 with 3072 CUDA cores. Same as RTX 4060 Ti SKU, this model features 8GB GDDR6 memory across 128-bit interface, but the memory is clocked lower at 17 Gbps (compared to 18 Gbps on the Ti).
The GeForce RTX 4060 will now be available to order starting June 29, at 6AM Pacific.

The following launch schedule and embargoes were communicated by NVIDIA earlier this week. NVIDIA has now confirmed that the launch (on-shelf) date is June 29th. According to this list, the first reviews will be published a day sooner on June 28th but only featuring the so-called MSRP cards from board partners. What is important to note is that there is no Founders Edition SKU planned for this card. The cards that will retail at higher price will have a separate embargo for the same day the card is set to launch.

NVIDIA decided to price the GeForce RTX 4060 at $299/€329, which is indeed the cheapest desktop RTX 40 card thus far, but probably not the price gamers are expecting. The GPU vendor did not mention any changes regarding RTX 4060 Ti 16GB card release date, which means it is still scheduled to launch next month.
