Moore Threads S80/S70 can now play Crysis (3)
Chinese GPU maker released a new community display driver.

Slowly but finally getting there. Moore Threads, a company from China, made news when they introduced their first gaming computer called MTT S80. This graphics card is highly intriguing from a technical standpoint, as it boasts 16GB of GDDR6 memory, supports PCIe Gen5 interface, and provides over 14 TFLOPs of compute power. Regrettably, the specifications do not correspond to the actual gaming performance.
Good software is what makes hardware work, and that’s what NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel learned from their struggles with software glitches or game optimizations. Moore Threads has a long path ahead and there are some major setbacks in supporting all DirectX11 games. However, the company is determined to add more games with each GPU driver release and this driver appears to be a significant milestone.
The latest driver (222.31.0.1) enables DirectX11 optimizations for the following titles:
- Genshin Impact
- Valorant
- Lostark
- Dyson Sphere Program
- Crysis 3
This driver supports only two graphics cards, namely the S80 and S70. These games can now be added to the list of all supported titles (please note this is an automatic translation):

Interestingly, MTT S80/S70 will now support DisplayPort DSC (Display Stream Compression) feature, which allows up to 4K 144Hz display connection. Furthermore, these cards will also support MST (DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport) which allows multiple screens to use one DisplayPort cable.
The S70 is the latest addition to the MTT Gaming GPU family. The company opted for a usual configuration with 7GB of GDDR6 memory attached to a 224-bit interface. It is now confirmed that the GPU requires 220W of power which is 35W less than S80. There are no reviews of the S70 available yet, so it is unclear if the S70 is prone to the same issue as the S80, such as high idle power.
Hopefully, future driver releases from MTT will add more games and enable full DirectX/Vulkan functionality across many popular titles. The list is growing, but still relatively slow compared to companies such as Intel.
