Halo 5 won't be coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC - 343 confirms

In the company's latest post about Halo: The Master Chief Collection, 343 Industries has confirmed that the company has no plans to release Halo 5 as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, killing the dreams of some Halo PC fans.

As part of the post, 343i's Unyshek has stated that " This [Halo 4] is the last Halo title we currently have planned for the collection (sorry to crush your Halo 5 in MCC dreams)". At this time, Microsoft and 343 Industries has not revealed any plans to release Halo 5: Guardians on PC.

If Halo 5 is coming to PC, it should release as a standalone game, not as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. As of now, a PC port of Halo 5 appears to be possible, as Halo 5: Forge already being playable on PC. At this time, Microsoft and 343 Industries seem to have no plans to release Halo 5 on PC, even though it is the only Halo title to lack a full, or incoming, PC version.

October 27th will be Halo 5's fifth anniversary, and to celebrate all players of Halo 5 will receive double XP and a free "Greatest hits Customisation Pack" if they log on on October 27th.

With Halo Infinite coming to PC, it would be a shame for PC gamers to miss out on Halo 5's campaign before Halo Infinite's launch. In time, we hope that Microsoft will decide to bring Halo 5 to PC, giving Windows 10 users access to every game in the franchise.
