High-speed DDR5 memory support on a budget
Chinese MaxSun reveals its new motherboard based on the Intel B760 chipset.
MaxSun, a Chinese manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, has introduced the MS-Terminator B760M GKD5, a new Micro-ATX motherboard. This model builds upon the foundation of the existing B760D5 iCraft variant, incorporating upgraded memory capabilities. The motherboard is equipped with two DDR5 memory slots, specially designed to accommodate high-speed XMP modules with profiles that surpass 8000 MT/s, as stated in its promotional materials.
The B760M Terminator motherboard boasts compatibility with both the 12th Gen Core and 13th Gen Core CPUs, although no reference is made to the forthcoming 14th Gen. Notably, MaxSun has underscored its support for the Core i5-124900F, i5-13400F, and i5-13600KF CPUs, favored selections within the Chinese gaming community.

Officially this board supports PL1/PBP (Power Limit 1 or Processor Base Power) up to 200W, with PL2/MTB (Max Turbo Power) up to 253W. This is how the company describes ‘the overclockability’ of this motherboard, which is not possible in a conventional way by modifying clocks. However, by increasing the power limit the turbo frequencies will be kept for a longer period, effectively increasing performance.
The B760 Terminator features an 8+1+1 phase and 50A DrMOS power supply. Noteworthy is the inclusion of three M.2 slots, some positioned adjacent to the memory segment for user convenience.

In the terms of connectivity, the B760M Terminator provides built-in Wi-Fi functionality and a 2.5 Gbit Ethernet port. It also accommodates two USB 3.2Gen2x2 connectors and four USB 2.0 ports. Additionally, for users opting out of a discrete GPU setup, the motherboard offers a DisplayPort and HDMI ports on the I/O section, located alongside the BIOS reset button.
As for pricing, the B760M Terminator is presently available at a discounted rate of 829 RMB ($114), with a regular retail price set at 999 RMB ($137).
