MSI preparing GeForce RTX 4060/4070 Ventus 2X GPUs in white

MSI to launch a new version of its VENTUS GPUs

Finally, it’s clear why the original Ventus models were called “Black”, as “White” models are about to be released.

MSI is preparing to unveil the Ventus 2X White series, a fresh addition to their lineup. This particular model draws inspiration from the existing RTX 40 Ventus 2X Black models, maintaining their design framework while opting for an all-white shroud and backplate.

The new images, accompanied by the official specifications, were discovered by @wnxod , who stumbled upon URLs leading to unreleased GPU datasheets. These include details about the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 models, although the latter remains inaccessible to the public for now.

In terms of the official specifications, there are no change to the GPU clocks; both the White and Black series will offer identical out-of-the-box frequencies. This means that the OC variant will achieve a boost of up to 2505 MHz, a slight improvement over the default 2490 MHz frequency.

The RTX 4060 model is equipped with 3072 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory operating at a speed of 17 Gbps. Much like any other RTX 4060, this model employs a PCIe Gen4 interface with 8 lanes. However, the renders reveal a full-sized slot, although only half of the lanes are active. Furthermore, the GPU offers four display connectors, comprising three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. The card maintains a default 115W TDP.

It is unclear when MSI is planning to launch its new Ventus 2X White series, but given that the datasheets are now ready, this should be a matter of days rather than weeks.
