Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor spotted with 16 cores and 4.8 GHz clock

Core Ultra 7 155H, Intel Meteor Lake with new naming

Intel’s next gen mobile chip to feature 16 cores.

This leak marks the initial sighting of a new CPU from Intel’s Meteor Lake series, identified as the “Ultra 7 155H.” It stands out from its predecessors, notably the 1002H and 1003 models, due to its distinctive nomenclature. It’s unclear at this point if the 155H is Intel’s latest attempt to alter product names and how it relates to previously leaked product variants. Further clarification is needed to decipher Intel’s intentions behind this nomenclature change and its potential implications.

The Core Ultra 7 155H appears to feature a base clock of 3.8 GHz and boost up to 4786 MHz (4.8 GHz). It offers 16 cores and 22 threads, which can be interpreted as 6 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores and 2 low-power cores in the SoC die.

The system where this CPU was spotted is HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 16, so hardly a gaming system and this may explain why there is lack of any discrete GPU in the spec list. However, there is also no news on the integrated GPU, featuring newer architecture known as Xe-LPG (Alchemist), to be equipped with up to 128 EU cores.

The CPU scores 2294 points in Geekbench 6.1 single-core test and 12749 points in multi-core workload. The former score puts it above Ryzen 7 5800X, 13400 desktop CPUs. The multi-core performance is actually higher than Core i9-12900 non-K or Threadripper PRO 3955WX.

Intel is said to unveil its Meteor Lake series at the Innovation event this month. The full disclosure should include mobile series only, as the company has abandoned its plans to launch Meteor Lake desktop CPUs.
