Gigabyte has just announced one of the fastest and most customized GeForce RTX 3080 designs so far. The AORUS Xtreme (GV-N3080AORUSX WB-10GD) model has received a pre-installed water block and a new name: AORUS XTREME WaterForce WB.
First GeForce RTX 30 graphics card with a pre-installed water block
The AORUS XTREME WaterForce WB is a factory-overclocked model with a boost clock of 1845 MHz. Interestingly, this is not the same clock speed as the XTREME variant with 4-slot air-cooled variant, which ships with a clock speed of 1905 MHz. However, the clock speed of the WaterForce model is the same as the AORUS MASTER series.
The RTX 3080 AORUS WaterForce WB features a custom display-output configuration of three DisplayPort 1.4a and three HDMI ports (Gigabyte does not specify if all three support 2.1 standard).
AORUS’s full-cover water block features RGB lighting that will synchronize with other AORUS products, such as CPU coolers, peripherals, or motherboards. It is worth noting that Gigabyte will also release WaterForce non-WB, which is a version with an All-In-One cooling kit.
The graphics card features a 4-year warranty after registration. The manufacturer did not disclose when the card will become available in stores and in what quantity. In terms of pricing, we do not expect it to be cheap, because these cards cover a very niche market.
