Intel Core 7 165H “Meteor Lake” CPU debuts on Geekbench with over 2.5K score

Intel Core Ultra 7 165H appears on Geekbench

The 165H is the same as the Intel Core Ultra 7 1002H.

A fresh wave of leaks has surfaced showcasing Intel’s new generation of Core Ultra series processors, powered by the Meteor Lake architecture. In recent weeks, there has been an increase in leaks involving the Intel Core 7 155H CPU, which has undergone early testing using Geekbench software, resulting in the disclosure of numerous performance scores. Simultaneously, there have been instances of other products, such as the Ultra 7 1002H, boasting more robust configurations.

As we had suspected, the Core 7 1002H has now been confirmed as the Core 7 165H, having made its debut on Geekbench with identical specifications. The previous four-digit nomenclature appears to have been a provisional naming convention employed by Intel during the prototyping phase, with the processor now adopting its final three-digit nomenclature.

The Core 7 165H is not a newcomer to the scene; in fact, it was one of the processor names disclosed by one of the leakers, alongside the 185H and 155H. The Core 7 165H is a 16-core CPU, boasting 22 threads and configured with 6 P-Pores, 6 E-Cores, and 2 SOC E-Cores. This represents the highest configuration within the upcoming architecture.

As evident from the comparison, there is practically no distinction between the two samples; in fact, they both employ the identical engineering platform (MTL-P) equipped with LPDDR5X memory.

The score did experience a slight increase, now surpassing 2.5K points. However, the multithreaded score has actually decreased marginally. Thus, we have yet to witness Meteor Lake breach the 13K MT score barrier.
