MSI launches Ventus Essential series, new RTX 4090 has dual HDMI & DisplayPort config

MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X E to feature dual HDMI

MSI quietly launches Ventus Essential series.

MSI is once again giving the Ventus RTX 40 series a subtle makeover. It’s no secret that Ventus models are highly sought after among MSI’s product lines, primarily due to their appealing pricing, often aligning closely with the GPU vendor’s recommended prices. These cards also closely follow the GAMING models in terms of specifications and frequently offer equally efficient cooling solutions.

However, gamers should now exercise greater attention when selecting a Ventus model, as MSI has introduced a third variant to the series. These new additions are reportedly labeled as “E or “Essential,” as reported by Hassan Mujtaba from Wccftech. While they are expected to retain the same design and specifications, they may incorporate certain structural enhancements. It’s evident that in this context, “essential” does not equate to inferior quality.

A total of six new cards have already been introduced, all of which are now featured in our database:

The specifications have largely stayed similar, with only minor changes to the card’s weight, while the dimensions remain unchanged. However, there’s a noteworthy alteration in the display output configuration for one of the cards, namely the RTX 4090 Ventus 3X E models. Instead of the previous setup of 3xDP + 1x HDMI, users will now find two HDMI ports and two DP ports.
