Corporate Japan needs more foreign CEOs, IMD's Manzoni says

TOKYO -- When Jean-Francois Manzoni, president of the International Institute for Management Development, was having a discussion with a group of human resource managers here on Tuesday, a question arose: How many foreign CEOs head major Japanese corporations?

"We could only find two," Manzoni recalled. He was referring to Jean-Marc Gilson at Mitsubishi Chemical Group and Christophe Weber at Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
