AMD Ryzen 8000G specs uncovered
Iranian media outlet “sakhtafzarmag” claims to have exclusive specs for Ryzen 8000G series.

The new desktop series powered by a duo of Phoenix1/Phoenix2 APUs is said to be launching in a few weeks. The site is claiming to have almost the full specs for the new APU series powered by Zen4/RDNA3 architectures. Should those claims and figures be accurate, then this is the first time we learn the specs of APU CPU clocks, however those expecting confirmation on RDNA3 integrated graphics clock will be left disappointed.
AMD is said to be launching not four but 14 different SKUs based on Phoenix silicon. Those are the 65W G-Series, 35W GE series and their PRO variants as part of AMD’s push into the business/workstation desktops.
The configurations of Phoenix desktop chips would include full Phoenix 1 die with 8 threads and 16 threads under Ryzen 7 8700G and Ryzen 7 PRO 8700G SKUs, with cut-down version featuring 6 cores and 12 threads coming to Ryzen 5 8600G and its PRO variant. The site claims that the 8700G will boost up to 5.1 GHz and feature a base clock of 4.2 GHz. This is in line with what one would have expected from Phoenix chips launching with more power than mobile APU variants. Overall, we are looking at 400 to 500 MHz higher clock across the stack over 5000G series.

AMD is also said to be employing a Phoenix2 chip, known as Small Phoenix. This architecture will power the Ryzen 5 8500G and Ryzen 3 8300G SKUs. The site is not mentioning the exact configuration, but given what we have already witnessed in mobile form factor, these SKUs should feature 6 cores (2 Zen4 + Zen4c) and 4 cores (1x Zen4 + 3x Zen4c) configs. It is claimed that these SKUs will boost to 5.0 and 4.9 GHz respectively, however the maximum frequency in this case is based on the Zen4 die.
The site has also shared some performance charts; however, since there are no numbers, one should consider them an educated guess rather than a leak. Furthermore, there should be no surprises here considering Phoenix1/2 are on the market for months and there are many Mini-PCs with unlocked 45W+ TDP already on the market.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT/5500GT, 5700X3D, 5700 NPU also coming
According to the report, the first three AMD APUs will be released on January 31st , this includes 8700G, 8600G and 8500G, meaning that 8300G is said to be launching later or as an OEM part. More interestingly, the site confirms that AMD will launch Ryzen 7 5700X3D on the same day.
There is also a mention of entirely new CPU series of Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT which are planned for the first quarter of next year. It is unclear how these chips are different from existing SKUs but it is mentioned that they are designed to replace 5600G model. Furthermore, there is a Ryzen 5 5700 “NPU” SKU coming by the end of January. The NPU could stand for Neural Processing Unit, but it is unclear how is this related to the Ryzen CPU specifically.
