NVIDIA late Monday launched the RTX 2000 Ada Generation professional graphics card. The card caters to the entry level of the pro-vis market, particularly those that need a multi-monitor setup for their workstations, or for content creators shopping in the entry-level for CAD work. The card comes in a 2-slot, half-height (low-profile) form-factor, and lacks the need for any power connectors—it can make do with slot power, thanks to its 70 W total board power. As its name spells it out, this card is based on the latest Ada Lovelace graphics architecture.
Under the hood of the NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation is a 5 nm "AD107" silicon, the same chip that powers the GeForce RTX 4060. This chip is configured with 22 out of 24 streaming multiprocessors, unlike the RTX 4060, which maxes out the silicon. With 22 SM, it gets 2,816 CUDA cores, 88 Tensor cores, 22 RT cores, 88 TMUs, and the chip's full 48 ROPs. The memory bus is 128-bit wide, and unlike the RTX 4060, drives 16 GB of ECC GDDR6 memory running at 14 Gbps, for 224 GB/s of memory bandwidth.
