The MTT S30 now supported by the new driver
Moore Threads ready to launch its S30 graphics card.

The company has rolled out a fresh graphics driver, version 260.60, with a primary focus on optimizing gaming performance through the DirectX 11 API. This driver is expected to enhance performance in various games, including Genshin Impact, Metro 2033, and Assetto Corsa. Additionally, it introduces support for new titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Crossfire, World of Tanks, and even Crysis 3. Notably, this driver launch aligns with the release of the Ubuntu driver for the flagship model, MTT S80.
An important update is inclusion of support for the MTT S30 GPU in the community driver. While the S30 was announced several months ago, it is now officially backed by the community driver for the first time for Windows. Some GPU enthusiasts from the VGA Museum were able to purchase these GPUs a while back. As we can see, their S30’s appearance differs somewhat from the official Moore Threads photo.

Unlike the gaming cards S80 and S70 or the workstation SKU S50, the S30 and its slower counterpart, the S10, are designed for office use. These cards aren’t designed for gaming, and that’s evident in their very limited MUSA core count of 1024, which is merely a quarter of the cores found in the S80. It’s worth noting that the S80 struggles to compete with the GT 1030, so this card will be even slower.
Both the S30 and S10 share the same core count, but they differ in terms of clocks, memory configuration, and power settings. Operating within a 30 to 40W power envelope, these cards don’t require external power connectors. They serve as replacements for older GPUs that may no longer receive support. We are talking about business and government systems that for some reason still rely on VGA connector. The S30/S10 can support such monitors.
The onboard memory capacity varies between 4GB for the S30 and 2GB for the S10. Worth pointing out that the card has only 8 PCIe lanes (presumably of Gen4 version). It features 4K output support via the HDMI connector and includes an AV1 encoder. Presently, it’s compatible with X86, ARM, and LoongArch architectures, with the release of MTT 250.60 marking its debut for Windows.
The S30 GPU is promoted for its native support of Android apps through the OpenGL ES graphics API. While it also supports Vulkan, there’s no mention of DirectX support of any version on the official website yet. But this should change with the MTT Windows driver release.

Moore Threads have not posted the full changelog yet, but the update is now available through the PES software (the app for MTT GPUs).
